SaaS Protection backup success rates across all services and regions remain high. Google services, along with OneDrive and SharePoint, continue to process backups at the normal 3x daily cadence. Exchange and Teams backup cadence remains temporarily reduced to 2x daily backups to help maintain high backup success rates during the ongoing migration from Exchange Web Services (EWS) to Microsoft Graph APIs. Our R&D team continues to implement and refine configuration adjustments throughout the migration process and is actively monitoring backup performance across all regions. While overall performance remains stable, some customers may still experience intermittent backup delays or missed backups as optimization and migration efforts continue. The migration to Microsoft Graph APIs remains in progress and is currently expected to be completed between late August and early September.

More info: Impact is specific to users with OneNote build 16.112.717.0 or higher. Whilst we work on remediation, impacted users may be able to utilize OneNote on the web or remove Authenticator so that authentication falls back to the in-app webview. Users may also be able to sign in to any other Microsoft 365 apps first (e.g. PowerPoint), then attempt to sign in again in OneNote. Current status: Our fix deployment is taking longer than anticipated but is ongoing. We're continuing to monitor as it progresses to establish a completion timeline. We are providing an update on the ongoing service disruption. The Middle East (UAE) Region (ME-CENTRAL-1) has suffered damage as a result of the conflict in the Middle East and is currently unable to reliably support customer applications. While some workloads continue to function normally, we strongly recommend customers migrate all accessible resources to other Regions and restore inaccessible resources from remote backups as soon as possible. Relevant billing operations are currently suspended while we restore normal operations in this AWS Region. This process is expected to take several months.

We have successfully completed validation of the fix in our test environment and have begun rolling it out to production. Our teams will continue deploying the fix across all remaining impacted environments while closely monitoring services. We will provide another update as significant progress is made or sooner if additional information becomes available.
